London Design Week 2024
As part of London Design Week at the AUGUST + CO Gallery, Anna Agapova unveiled “Time and Art”, an example of scenography highlighting the ultimate symbiosis of art and design. The intricate art installation suspended from the ceiling was created to present the new HORAS table, an exquisite design piece born from the collaboration of O&A London and Maison Pouenat. The work embodies the artistic passion behind every creation.

The Nature of Love At the core of the ceiling installation is a bronze sculpture by British artist Shaun Stamp, titled ‘The Nature of Love’. The branches act as a metaphorical canvas, capturing the essence of the artist’s thoughts, dreams and emotions.

Horas Table The HORAS table is a tribute to the passage of time, embodying the essence of timeless design. Its marble countertop, featuring a round metal platform at the center, evokes the image of a clock face, while the elegantly sculpted metal legs take inspiration from the classic form of hourglasses.

Gravitation As part of the exposition, Pinton and August Gallery have presentd “Gravitation”, the new Haute-Couture rug designed by Alix Waline. Crafted from wool, lurex, and metal threads, this exquisite piece explores themes of balance and weightlessness. The interplay of superimposed shapes creates the illusion of magnetized, levitating particles—capturing a delicate harmony that resonates perfectly with the philosophy behind the HORAS table.

"With 'Time and Art,' I wanted to explore how a piece of furniture can transcend functionality and become a vessel for artistic expression. The installation, with its suspended elements and Shaun Stamp's heart sculpture, reflects the invisible threads that connect time, creativity, and the human experience."
